Destiny 2: Everything You Need to Know About the Black Armory

advertising

Despite reports that Destiny 2's Forsaken DLC underperformed, the game's developer core Bungie is still pushing content new forward with its Season Pass. While dedicated players have been eager to dive into the first bit of new content for some time, the wait is finally over. The Black Armory is now open for business. Marking the first bit of new content from the Forsaken cycle, Activision is now set to roll out brand new content from December 2018 to August 2018. The focus for this particular Season Pass is to provide aspiring Guardians with post-game content in Destiny 2 for a good while.

As the first of three planned expansions for this new season pass, there are understandably a lot of high hopes riding on the premiere of this Destiny 2 content. Since Activision, Bungie, and Vicarious Visions are all planning on appeasing fans, it's no surprise to learn that Week One will feature a new raid experience in a new setting – courtesy of the above mentioned Black Armory add-on.

Furthermore, the same week will give players access to Volundr Forge, which is said to be a new cooperative activity that will allow players to create and claim new weapons. This all sounds like a good bit of fun for players, as interacting with other people within the world of Destiny 2 is one of the highlights of the game.

Another selling point are the brand new weapons that accompany Black Armory, all of which are highlighted in the trailer below.

Izanagi’s Burden (Sniper Rifle) – Can consume full clip for multiplied damage. No Feelings (Legendary Scout Rifle)Le Monargue (Bow) – Precision kills create poison cloud.Hammerhead (Legendary Machine Gun)Jotunn (Fusion Rifle) – Explosive shots will ignite the ground.Kindled Orchid (Legendary Hand Cannon)Threat Level (Legendary Shotgun)Anarchy (Grenade Launcher) – Mines can link to form an arc field.advertising

Hopes for reinvigorating the community riding high on Forsaken while concerns are being raised about the levelling and grind required for the latest content. This additional layer of challenge being added to the title hopefully means that Destiny 2's director won't have to defend sales of the Forsaken expansion again, as the intention is to appeal core players still grinding for gear. Truthfully, this DLC looks like it will do just that, but only time will tell how receptive the community is to the Black Armory and future add-ons.

Plus, that Exotic Quest arriving on January 29th called “The Draw” looks all too tantalizing for aspiring pistol owners to pass up – especially in the wake of Red Dead Redemption 2.
