Black Friday 2018: The Best Deals so Far | Digital Trends

Black Friday 2018 isn’t just another day of deals, it’s the biggest shopping holiday of the year. So big, in fact, that you’ve probably heard horror stories of people getting trampled, battered, and bruised during this mad dash to snag deeply discounted items. After all, waking up at the crack of dawn and fighting a stranger at your local Best Buy is what Black Friday is all about, right? Well, that’s not as true as it used to be. As online shopping has grown year over year, online Black Friday deals shopping has grown right along with it.

Though there are still quite a few retailers offering special in-store discounts, the majority of the Black Friday deals will also be available online this year. This shift to an ecommerce model is great for anyone who enjoys browsing deals in their pajamas, but it also creates an overwhelming scope of savings to sift through. Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and every other business will be throwing out deals left and right, and without the proper guidance, you may end up paying more for something than you should have to. If the best holiday shopping deals are what you’re after, this will be the page to find them on. We’ll keep you updated with the latest Black Friday news and will update with new deals every hour once the madness begins.

The big day officially begins the day after the Thanksgiving holiday (Thursday), so this year it’s on November 23, 2018. However, it’s likely going to be more than just the one-day event it has been in the past. Many retailers start coming out with holiday shopping deals early in the week as to avoid getting drowned out by everyone else. Most deals will also continue on through the weekend and into Cyber Monday, so stick around as the deals keep rolling in.

Walmart Black Friday

When it comes to Black Friday deals, Walmart has always been a leader in the brick-and-mortar category. With superstores all around the United States filled with just about every product imaginable, it’s really not hard to see why. This retail giant is known for offering rollbacks and discounts on smart TVs, video games, clothing, and children’s toys pretty much year round, so if you’re looking for savings on top of savings, Walmart is often the obvious choice. Despite being primarily a store front, however, this mega-retailer has been getting more and more into the online shopping aspect of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Walmart Black Friday 2018 is likely going to be one of the biggest collections of web specials the company has ever produced. With online prices that rival even Amazon, Walmart is one of the only places you can shop for a huge range of discounted items all in one place. Whether you’re looking for the latest children’s toys, smartphones, Xbox One consoles, PS4 consoles, or Nintendo Switch consoles, the firm is sure to have a pretty good deal for you. What’s more, Walmart is notorious for having some of the deepest discounts on 4K TVs from brands like Samsung and Vizio. Unlike Amazon, Walmart will also be offering some pretty great savings on Google Home devices that you won’t see anywhere else. So if you’re looking for one of the best places to shop during Black Friday 2018, Walmart has you covered. Though many of the deals for Walmart will also be online this year, there are still quite a few savings that you’ll only be able to find within the actual store. Black Friday hours may vary on a state by state basis, but doors will be opening as early as 6 p.m on Thanksgiving day and closing at 12 a.m. If you don’t feel like heading on down there during Turkey Day, however, the stores will be reopening again at 6 a.m. on Friday morning.
